Tips for gathering evidence to demonstrate your skills

The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

CUABRT501 - Collaborate on the design of broadcasting facilities

What evidence can you provide to prove your understanding of each of the following citeria?

Clarify design requirements

  1. Confirm overall objectives for proposed broadcasting facilities in consultation with relevant personnel
  2. Identify factors, including technological change, that may impact how facilities are designed, including for future needs
  3. Research the market for complete solutions that could meet the design objectives
  4. Research and assess the range of equipment available to meet facility requirements and check compatibility with existing systems or infrastructure if applicable
  5. Discuss the range of solutions with clients and other relevant personnel and reach agreement on preferred approach
  6. Document agreed approach and obtain sign-off from relevant personnel to proceed with detailed design specifications
